Zero additives, 100% wholesome
No synthetic chemicals or factory processing that creates toxic by-products. Our VCO is expeller-pressed, which means it is mechanically extracted straight from coconut meat, retaining more benefits than refined coconut oil.
A moisturizing beauty essential
People are swearing by VCO as a beauty essential on its own. After a shower, slather it directly on clean skin and lips, or work it through your hair tips to protect from split ends and damage.
Cook and bake with it
VCO is a healthier plant-based oil than most vegetable oils for shallow frying, sautéing, baking, and even smoothie-making. Plus, this oil has a long shelf life - a real pantry essential.
Sustainable packaging
While other brands package their VCO in plastic bottles, we use glass bottles and aluminum caps for ours. Clearly, we have a plastic pollution problem on this planet so we also transport our bottles to you in recycled Kraft paper boxes and avoid the use of bubble wrap when we can.
Supports Filipino communities
We source our coconuts from farmers in Lucban, Quezon to ensure that our business benefits Filipinos. Made Mindful also provides educational assistance to children in Quezon province. Your purchase of our VCO contributes to that.
How to use
Virgin coconut oil will naturally solidify at or below 24°C or 75°F. Before using, rub it in your hands or place the bottle on a warm surface to liquify.Pro tip: place the bottle under warm tap water
As part of your skincare routine
After pat-drying from the shower, pour a coin sized amount of VCO on the palm of your hand and massage throughout your body.
As lip balm
Dab a small amount lightly on lips until VCO sets.
As makeup remover
Take a pea-sized amount of VCO and rub gently across your face to wipe away makeup. Rinse with warm water and follow with your cleansing routine.
As a anti-split end hair conditioner
After showering, apply a small amount of VCO directly to the tips of your hair. Gently use a comb to remove excess oil.
As hair moisturizer and strengthener
Before shampooing, massage warm (not hot) VCO on hair, taking care to avoid your scalp and face. Cover with a shower cap for 20 minutes. Shampoo hair as usual. Repeat two or three times a week, but less if you have oily or fine hair.
For frying or sauteing
Use the same amount of VCO as you would other oils or butters. VCO has a smoke point of around 300˚F or 148˚C. VCO is a great option for shallow frying on medium heat.
For baking
Use the same amount of VCO to replace other oils, butters, or margarine. You can also grease your baking pans with VCO.
For smoothies
Add 1 teaspoon to 1 tablespoon of VCO to your fruit and/or veggie smoothie. Blend together thoroughly and consume immediately.
